Thread Group Australia
Reconciliation Statement

Thread Group Australia (Thread Group) acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and operate. We pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present, and we extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

We recognise the enduring connection that First Nations peoples have to Country, culture and community. We acknowledge the injustices of the past and the continuing impacts of colonisation. As an organisation, we are committed to listening, learning and walking alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the spirit of genuine reconciliation.

At Thread Group, we are dedicated to taking meaningful and sustained action toward reconciliation. To support this commitment, we aim to complete the following actions:

1. Customer Education Day

We will host a Customer Education Day focused on building awareness and understanding of First Nations cultures, histories and achievements. Through interactive sessions, storytelling and guest speakers from Indigenous communities, we aim to foster respect and deepen the connection between our customers, staff and First Nations peoples.

2. St Kilda FC First Nations Family Day

We proudly donated to the St Kilda FC First Nations Family Day, bringing together community members, families and our team for a day of cultural celebration. Activities included a junior clinic featuring St Kilda AFL and AFLW players, a smoking ceremony and Welcome to Country, cultural activities and more.

3. First Nations Employment

We are committed to creating pathways for employment and career development for First Nations peoples within Thread Group. This includes targeted recruitment initiatives, culturally safe onboarding processes, mentorship programs and ongoing support to ensure sustainable and meaningful employment opportunities.

4. Volunteer Days

Our team members will be provided with dedicated Volunteer Days to support First Nations–led organisations and initiatives. Volunteer opportunities may include participating in community events or contributing professional skills to support Indigenous community programs.

5. Clothing Donations

We will organise regular clothing donation drives in collaboration with First Nations community organisations. Donated clothing will directly support Indigenous individuals and families in need — particularly those in remote or disadvantaged areas — ensuring our contributions are both respectful and impactful.

At Thread Group, we believe reconciliation is an ongoing journey. We strive to foster a culture of respect, inclusion and empowerment by building meaningful relationships, creating opportunities and promoting understanding. Through our actions, partnerships and values, we seek to contribute to a fairer and more equitable Australia for all.
